Rebecca C. Robertson is the most qualified candidate running for Federal Way Municipal Court. Rebecca is rated "Well Qualified" for this position by the King County Bar Association. She has been Endorsed by the Federal Way Police Officers Guild, the Tacoma News Tribune, the Federal Way Mirror, Democrats and Republicans, the Women's Political Caucus, judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and law enforcement. Rebecca has also been endorsed by all four of her former opponents, Matthew York, James Santucci, Williams Jarvis, and Mark Knapp.
As a Judge Pro Tempore and a Prosecuting Attorney, Rebecca has spent her entire career ensuring that justice is done. Rebecca has more criminal law experience in municipal courts than her opponent. Rebecca has worked in many different courts as a Judge Pro Tempore. She knows the law, knows how to run an efficient and professional courtroom, and is the only candidate that can hit the ground running if elected to Federal Way Municipal Court. Rebecca has the knowledge, energy, and professionalism to help make Federal Way Municipal Court one of the best in Washington State.
Rebecca's passion for justice has pushed her to get involved in the legal community. She is the Chair of the Washington State Bar Association's Criminal Law Section and a member of the Washington State Bar Association's Court Rules and Procedures Committee. For the third time, Rebecca is Co-Chairing the annual Criminal Justice Institute, a two day training seminar for prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, and law enforcement.
Nine years ago, Rebecca started her legal career prosecuting Domestic Violence cases in Kent. She has compassion for crime victims and will administer justice with a firm and fair hand. Rebecca is well respected in the legal community by judges, defense attorneys, and fellow prosecutors, and has a reputation for honesty and integrity. Rebecca has the experience and commitment to justice that is required in a judge. The citizens of Federal Way deserve nothing less.
